Why is a skincare routine important? Because it helps protect the skin from our external environments which speeds up aging! That’s why it’s crucial to take care of your skin everyday, even if you’re only 20 and have it never had a pimple in your life. Honestly, I keep my daytime and nighttime routines simple. Mostly because I’m still discovering products that work and don’t work for me! I can be particular about what I apply to my face, but I still love trying new products. That’s just another reason why I love The Naked Beauty Box. Their products are perfect for my skincare needs especially when my skin needs a little extra TLC. Now, I know when I first discovered how badly I needed a skincare routine, I was confused as to what to apply, how and why. I felt like the more products I applied the dirtier my face would be. Or the more clogged my pores would get. It felt very counterintuitive until a dermatologist explained to me why we apply certain things, how to apply them and most importantly, WHEN to apply each product. Yes, there is a purpose and an order to everything, I promise it’s not just some marketing strategy to get us to buy more. Below you will find the order you should apply your skincare products for the morning and evening. You will also find both my daytime and nighttime skincare routines and products I use and love. Enjoy!

  7. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Both the Jade Face Roller and the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask came in this month’s Naked Beauty Box. They have become new to my routine and honestly, they’re staples! After applying my night oil I love using the roller to get a nice massage all over my face. I also like using it on mornings when my eyes may be puffy or my face feels a little swollen (which is rare, but does happen). I’ve been using the lip mask for about a week and it has transformed my dry cracked lips to smooth and hydrated lips. I haven’t been able to find anything that works as magical as the Laneige mask so I’ll be stocking up!

XOXO,
Kourt
